Precision manufacturing startup CloudNC has raised $20 million in a growth funding round led by Lockheed Martin Ventures and existing backer Atomico, aimed at accelerating the deployment of its AI-driven Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software.
CloudNC’s software, CAM Assist, automates the programming of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, reducing the time required to program components from hours or days to minutes. By using physics-based AI models to generate optimal machining strategies, toolpaths, and cutting speeds, the company targets severe machinist shortages across aerospace, defense, and industrial supply chains. The funding will support expanded integrations with major CAD/CAM suites and scale commercial operations across North American and European defense suppliers.
